1. Raised Upward & Curled at the end
▲ When a kitty feels safe and joyful, the tail will be raised up to share the status of leader. It seems to say “ I’m awesome, isn’t it? ”
2. Fur Juts Out In All Directions
▲ They are very anxious or feels threatened. Generally speaking, in order to threaten the enemy or prey, their fur on the tail will be stretched in the air that body looks bigger, so a fight will avoided.
3. Hill Tail
▲ If they are nervous or ready to attack, the tail will be stretched back and forth, like a shape of small hill, seems to say “dare you near to me one time?”
4. Tail Clamped
▲ This position symbolizes fear and helpless. Sometimes, this behavior is a way to give on because they can’t win the stronger enemy. In addition, if they enter into a new environment or animal hospital, tail will be clamped in the middle of legs too, so please just relax they down.
5. Tail Downward
▲ Tail downward is a sign of disappointed, frustrated due to a sharp rebuke.If not, they probably get sick , so you can know kitten’s healthy condition from this position.
6. Tail Shaken Up & Down
▲ When kitten’s tail is wagged up and down sharply, it’s likely to find something fun or observe something , and they feel curious. It’s a common behavior, they may feel relax or think nothing.
7. Tail Wavered Up & Down
▲ When they are unhappy or bored, they will waver the tail up and down. This behavior is similar to a worried person.
8. Wiper Tail
▲ Walking by swing the tail from side to side can show their power, which means they are confident on their own territory.
9. Crazy Snake Tail
▲ If they are angry or frustrate, they will swing the tail quickly. In that case, it’s better to avoid bothering them, and being cautious about a sudden bite and grab.
10. Rhythmed Tail
▲ When a kitten is focused on waiting for the prey or think about something, their tail will be wagged rhythmically.
11. Sitting Wagging Tail
▲ If they are hesitated to do something, they will sit down and the tail is slowly wagged from one side to the other. This behavior often happens amongst a small kitten.
12. Sleeping Wagging Tail
▲ Cat parents are going to wake their kitten, while only getting a response of wagging tail slightly, the reason is that they haven’t getting enough sleep. It’s just a conditioned reflex.
13. Tail Curled Into Belly
▲ Kitten’s tail will protect the belly by curled when being held by someone. They may feel worried if exposed the belly. Because belly is kitten’s weakness. In contrast, loosening the tail means self-confidence.
14. Crazy Wagging When Held
▲ Wagging tail sharply means that they don’t like to be held.
